Dreams On Spec is an interesting look at writers working in the film industry. Or, rather, writers who want to be working in the film industry. It also has some insightful interviews with some very famous and established writers, so it’s a neat look at the spectrum. Some of the struggling writers, well, it seems they might simply do best to turn to another craft — or at least de-prioritize the emphasis they’ve place on it in their lives.

But, hey. Who am I to say someone shouldn’t follow their passion. Or dreams. Even if they’re working at them on spec.
